Chonnam National University has made lecture content on how to use ChatGPT available online to help bridge the digital education gap, allowing students and citizens alike to utilize it.
On November 13, Chonnam National University released the 'Digital Literacy and ChatGPT' content through the Education Innovation Headquarters' YouTube channel and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Graduate School Distance Education Support Center website, enabling anyone interested in using digital tools?whether citizens or students?to learn how to read and write digital devices.
The lectures feature Professor Kim Kyung-baek from the Department of Artificial Intelligence Convergence, Professor Seon Han-bit from the Department of Korean Language and Literature, and Professor Yoon Hyo-soon from the Software-Centered University Project Group. They explain topics such as ▲Understanding Digital Literacy ▲Understanding ChatGPT ▲Understanding Digital Ethics. In particular, they provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the recently spotlighted generative AI, ChatGPT, and how to utilize it.
Yang Young-hee, Director of the Education Innovation Headquarters at Chonnam National University, stated, "Through the newly released content, we expect students to cultivate a proper sensibility toward the current hot topic of digital ethics awareness and to strengthen their digital capabilities." She added, "We will also provide high-quality content to citizens and fulfill the responsibilities of a regional national university."
