Choi Tae-sung, a Korean history instructor known as 'Big Star Teacher' who has appeared on numerous broadcasts such as tvN's 'Naked Korean History' and KBS 1TV's 'History Journal That Day,' conducted a Gyeongju trip on the 11th with 30 participants selected through a lottery on the Odi app.

Odi is a free audio tour guide web and app service operated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization. The name is a combination of 'audio' and 'eodi' (meaning 'where'), providing about 15,000 stories about the history and culture of major tourist sites nationwide in four languages: Korean, Japanese, English, and Chinese.

Instructor Choi visited Gyeongju Cheomseongdae, Daereungwon, and Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, delivering passionate historical explanations along with an introduction to the historic city of Gyeongju. Participants used the Odi app installed on their smartphones to listen to historical stories for each travel destination and also had free time to explore.

A parent who attended the event said, "I lost track of time listening to the history stories directly told by instructor Choi Tae-sung with my child," adding, "It was even better to see the travel sites mentioned in textbooks in person and to hear detailed explanations through Odi."

Lee Sang-min, head of the Digital Marketing Office at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "Odi is a convenient service that allows domestic and international tourists to easily obtain various information including the history of tourist sites," and added, "We plan to continuously expand fun and informative content so that Odi can be used more widely."
