Learn Insurance with VR... Life Insurance Education and Culture Center Opens 'Digital Experience Center'

The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee announced on the 13th that it held an opening ceremony for the Life Insurance Education and Culture Center Digital Experience Hall.

The Digital Experience Hall is a space reborn from the existing 3D video theater at the Life Insurance Education and Culture Center located in Seoul, dedicated exclusively to digital experiences. It plans to operate from December by accepting applications from schools at all levels.

The Digital Experience Hall showcased high-definition media art works themed around the four seasons and the human life cycle through a media facade. It also introduced corners such as "Time Slip! The History of Life Insurance," where visitors can learn about the origins of life insurance in a VR space using the virtual reality (VR) device 'Meta Quest 2' and a ride-type attraction.

The Committee has been operating Life Insurance Education and Culture Centers dedicated to life insurance, opened in Seoul in June 2014 and Busan in November 2017. Over the past decade, it has provided experiential programs to a total of 1,376 sessions and 33,677 elementary, middle, and high school students.

The Committee plans to continue efforts to ensure that people of all ages receive seamless financial and insurance education tailored to their life stages, in cooperation with financial authorities.

Jung Hee-su, Chairman of the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee and the Life Insurance Association, said, "Students will be able to easily understand the principles of financial insurance by utilizing the latest digital technology in the Digital Experience Hall," adding, "We will create an environment where students can understand insurance more easily and enjoyably through various financial insurance education programs in the future."
