A movie based on the biography of Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, is being produced.

Recently, American entertainment media Variety reported that the film company A24 acquired the rights to the book "Elon Musk" by author Walter Isaacson, which was published last September.

Isaacson is a famous author who has written biographies of Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, and others. Notably, the Steve Jobs biography was also made into a movie titled "Steve Jobs" starring Michael Fassbender in 2016.

According to Isaacson, Musk allowed him to accompany him for over two years to write the biography and did not interfere with its content at all.

In fact, the book "Elon Musk" contains detailed accounts of Musk's personal life, including conflicts with his father during his upbringing, as well as previously unknown stories about his romantic relationships and children.

'Black Swan' Director Takes the Helm... Musk Says "I'm Happy"

The task of directing the Elon Musk biography film has been assigned to director Darren Aronofsky. Aronofsky, known for films such as "Black Swan," "Mother!," and "Requiem," is famous for incorporating intense psychological portrayals into his works. He also won the Golden Lion at the 2008 Venice Film Festival for "The Wrestler."

Musk responded on X (formerly Twitter) to the news that Aronofsky would direct, saying, "I'm happy Darren is taking it on. He is one of the best."

Meanwhile, it is reported that there was fierce competition in Hollywood to secure the film rights. The rights were acquired by A24, a rising powerhouse in Hollywood. Founded in 2012, A24 does not have a long history but has secured a solid fan base, with six films nominated in 18 categories at this year’s Academy Awards.
