According to the county council on the 13th, the meeting was attended by 31 current and former council members who shared local issues and directions for the development of council operations, and had a time of communication reflecting on the footsteps of council activities from the opening of the 1st Muan County Council in 1991 to the present.
Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun said, "I deeply appreciate the passion and interest of senior council members who have been part of the 30-year history of local autonomy for the development of Muan County and council affairs," adding, "We will continue to do our best for regional development and the residents of Muan County through ongoing communication with senior council members."
Meanwhile, following the enforcement of the revised Local Autonomy Act on January 13 last year, the Muan County Council has been able to independently manage personnel rights for council staff and appoint policy support officers up to half the number of council members. The council has fully staffed four policy support officers and is doing its best to support the council members' legislative activities.
