Naver officially launched and updated its AI meeting minutes management service, 'Clova Note,' on the 6th.
Clova Note is a service that integrates various AI technologies from Naver, including speech recognition and natural language processing. It started in 2020 as an 'AI Voice Recording' service by applying proprietary speech AI technologies such as a speech recognition engine specialized in recognizing long and unstructured sentences and speaker separation technology that distinguishes between participants' voices. With the addition of features like meeting minutes summarization using the large-scale AI 'HyperClova,' note sharing, highlight marking, and memo functions, it has evolved into an 'AI meeting minutes management' service, especially enhancing usability in work environments.
With this official version update, beyond summarizing meeting minutes, AI now provides a function that organizes key topics and next tasks based on the meeting or conversation content. For example, a meeting discussing when and how to conduct a service satisfaction survey and how to utilize the results is recorded. After converting the recording into text notes, selecting the 'AI Summarize' button allows Clova Note to organize the meeting's key topics such as 'Discussion on survey schedule' and 'Incorporation of survey feedback,' and recommend next tasks like 'Draft survey questions.' The feature that summarizes the main points of the meeting with subheadings for easy viewing is also provided as in the previous version.
In the official version, Clova Note supports recording meetings directly and taking notes on important points during the recording on both PC and mobile apps. Usability has also been improved to manage notes more systematically. A feature to easily browse generated notes by date has been added, and the ability to categorize shared notes by folder has been introduced.
Naver plans to sequentially introduce various service plans through the official version of Clova Note.
Han Ik-sang, director of Naver Cloud leading the Clova Note service, said, “We are preparing individual and enterprise service plans considering diverse user demands,” adding, “We will expand collaboration features such as task management, comment writing, and co-editing, and continuously improve user convenience by utilizing large-scale language models.”
