Expecting New Vitality in Rural Areas

Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, conducted a rural experience instructor training course entrusted to the Yeongdeok-gun Agricultural Council, producing rural experience experts who will lead the revitalization of rural tourism.

The rural experience instructor course is an educational program that must be certified by the provincial governor according to the Act on Promotion of Exchange between Urban and Rural Areas. Through specialized training, it plays a role in providing the value of agriculture and rural culture through diverse experiences.


The Yeongdeok-gun Agricultural Council, certified by the Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, held classes twice a week from September to November, combining theory and practice over a total of 18 sessions, producing 22 rural experience experts and awarding official certificates to the successful candidates.


The education was conducted as an integrated curriculum for fostering rural tourism professionals, covering various experience program planning and operation techniques, on-site guidance methods, and safety accident response measures.


The successful candidates are expected to operate distinctive rural experience programs utilizing Yeongdeok-gun’s environmental and cultural resources, enhancing the quality of rural experiential tourism and satisfying the diverse preferences of tourists visiting the region.


Additionally, as experts seeking development plans for rural experience to revitalize rural tourism in Yeongdeok-gun, they will contribute to creating new value in rural experiences through the activation of stay-type rural tourism.


Kim Gi-dong, Director of the Agriculture and Livestock Division, stated, “The training of rural experience instructors has laid the foundation for our local rural experience sector to develop into a more professional field. We will do our best to promote various urban-rural exchange policies that can lead to income generation in rural areas and revitalize the countryside.”
