The Criminal Division 2 of Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Seo Young-bae) indicted parent A on charges of assault on the 10th. A, who was taking care of their hospitalized child, is accused of throwing a diaper at the face of daycare teacher B from Sejong City, who visited the hospital on September 10, causing injuries requiring two weeks of medical treatment.

At the time, B had visited the hospital to apologize for the injury sustained by A's child at the daycare. A is known to have claimed that their child was abused at the daycare center.

Photos taken by the daycare director who witnessed the assault show feces smeared on B's face. B was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment and was admitted due to severe anxiety caused by the shock.

A prosecution official explained, "This is a case where a parent, the victim, threw a diaper smeared with feces at a childcare teacher, claiming that the teacher did not properly care for the victim's child, causing injury." They added, "We will continue to respond strictly to serious infringements of teachers' rights in educational settings and strive to maintain prosecution."

At the time, B's husband, C, also posted a petition titled "Please protect daycare teachers from unfair power abuse" on the National Petition platform. He stated, "Since early this year, my wife has suffered from a parent who continuously verbally abused her, made unreasonable demands, and falsely accused her of child abuse at the daycare, and I strongly urged her to resign, but this is what happened in the end." He added, "Bad teachers can be punished, but what about teachers who cannot avoid bad parents? Please institutionalize a shield that allows teachers to defend themselves."
