Launch of 9 New Channels within LG Channel Japan
Plan to Add 30 More Channels by Early 2024

New ID, an in-house venture of content media group NEW (Next Entertainment World), announced on the 10th that it partnered with LG Electronics' global content streaming platform, ‘LG Channel,’ to simultaneously launch a total of nine FAST channels including news, kids, sports, food, music, and drama in Japan on the 7th. They are actively expanding their CTV (Connected TV ? a platform for watching content through internet-connected TV screens) based media business.

To captivate Japanese viewers, New ID newly established K-content related channels locally on LG Electronics’ ‘LG Channels Japan.’ They launched ‘YTN’ (news), which expands the meaning of FAST channels through real-time streaming; ‘BABY SHARK TV’ by The Pinkfong Company, beloved by kids and family audiences worldwide (kids); and ‘NEW KPOP’ and ‘YG TV’ (K-pop) where viewers can enjoy the latest K-pop. They also unveiled single IP channels where viewers can consecutively watch MBC dramas such as ‘Queen of Reversals,’ ‘Queen of Housewives,’ and ‘Beethoven Virus’ on each channel. New ID plans to add more than 30 channels locally in Japan by early next year.


New ID operates over 200 channels on more than 30 major FAST platforms targeting over 100 million CTV households worldwide. CEO Park Jun-kyung stated, “We will actively develop the FAST business in the Japanese region, which has both content consumers and a premium advertising market, and focus on expanding our proprietary streaming and advertising solution supply.”
