"President Yoon and Kishida Coordinating Joint Lecture at Stanford University During APEC"

President Yoon Suk-yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida are reportedly coordinating a joint lecture at Stanford University on the 17th (local time), coinciding with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit held in San Francisco, USA, according to Kyodo News.

The news agency cited a Japanese government official on the 8th, stating that the two leaders are expected to discuss trilateral cooperation between South Korea, Japan, and the United States in the fields of economic security and mention improvements in bilateral relations.


President Yoon is also expected to explain that North Korea is obtaining funds for nuclear and missile development through illegal cyber activities and to call for strengthening cyber measures among South Korea, the United States, and Japan, Kyodo reported. Prime Minister Kishida is anticipated to emphasize trilateral cooperation on supply chains for critical minerals, including semiconductors, and artificial intelligence (AI).


The lecture will be conducted in a panel discussion format, with participants and a Q&A session planned. Additionally, the two leaders are expected to hold a summit meeting to confirm cooperation on issues including North Korea, the news agency added.
