According to the government joint task force, the number of suspected bedbug reports received nationwide in 17 cities and provinces as of the 6th has exceeded 30 and continues to rise. The government has recognized the seriousness of the situation and has launched the 'Bedbug Government Joint Task Force,' taking a national-level response.
Experts say that recently bedbugs have developed resistance to existing insecticides, so currently, the most effective personal control methods are to use vacuum cleaners to strongly suction around suspected habitats such as mattresses or to expose them to high temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius using dryers.
