"Not Appropriate Now... Biden Administration Is Countering"
Former U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly declined an invitation from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to visit Ukraine, according to Ukrainian media outlet Euromaidan Press citing U.S. Newsmax on the 7th (local time).
In a statement, former President Trump said, "I have great respect for President Zelensky, but now is not an appropriate time to go to Ukraine."
He added, "Since the Biden administration is currently dealing with him, I do not want to create a 'conflict of interest.'"
Earlier, former President Donald Trump had mentioned that if he regained the presidency, he would have ended the war in Ukraine within 24 hours.
In this regard, on the 5th, President Zelensky said in an interview with U.S. NBC News, "I am inviting former President Trump."
He further stated, "It would only take me 24 minutes to explain why former President Trump cannot manage this war," and claimed, "Because of Russian President Vladimir Putin, peace cannot be brought (directly to the battlefield)."
