"Full Effort to Restore Wind Damage"... Jin Gyo-hoon, Gangseo District Mayor, Chairs Safety Measures Meeting

As strong winds caused various damages across the country, Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) is fully committed to restoring wind damage and preventing disasters.

On the 7th at 10 a.m., the district held an "Emergency Disaster Safety Countermeasure Meeting" in the main conference room, chaired by Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon, with all directors and department heads in attendance.

Regarding the roof panel falling accident caused by the strong winds on the 6th, Mayor Jin urged, "All departments, including those related to safety, should utilize all available resources to help the residents affected by this strong wind return to their daily lives as soon as possible."

At 3:26 p.m. on the 6th, in Hwagok-dong, a part of the roof panel of a multi-family house fell due to strong winds, covering eight vehicles.

Mayor Jin rushed to the scene to inspect the damage and instructed support measures for the victims, personally ensuring the safety of the residents. He directed necessary safety measures for smooth vehicle traffic and pedestrian safety and stayed at the site until all roof debris was cleared.

Although there were no casualties from this wind accident, gas supply was temporarily cut off to two households, resulting in five displaced residents. The district provided temporary housing facilities to help the residents affected by the sudden strong winds regain stability.

Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "Since disasters and accidents can lead to significant human and property damage, we will actively carry out preventive activities such as safety inspections of disaster-risk facilities and vulnerable sites," adding, "We will do our utmost to make Seoul the safest city."
