CBI "DGP to Fully Promote Distributed Fuel Cell Convergence Project... Establishing Energy Super Station"

CBI announced on the 7th that its affiliate DGP, which established 'SL Energy Solution' for the purpose of operating a hydrogen power generation business, will officially begin construction in the first half of next year to build a distributed fuel cell hybrid power plant based on urban gas stations. Through DGP, CBI established SL Energy Solution in July, consisting of four business operators including SK Energy, LS Electric, and Samchully Asset Management, based on approval from the Fair Trade Commission.

SL Energy Solution, established by DGP who shares CBI’s commitment to ESG management, is promoting a distributed fuel cell hybrid project that installs small-scale fuel cell power plants in areas with actual power demand such as urban gas stations, commercial districts, and buildings.

The generated electricity will be supplied locally and used for electric vehicle charging, contributing to the expansion of distributed energy, promoting eco-friendly vehicle adoption, and responding to power peak demand.

Utilizing 15 sites including gas station sites (super stations) selected as preferred negotiators in this year’s Clean Hydrogen Power Supply Obligation System (CHPS) general hydrogen power market bidding, a fuel cell power plant with a total capacity of 12MW and an investment of approximately 80 billion KRW will be constructed, and the business will be continuously expanded starting from this.

CEO Oh Kyung-won stated, "We will actively participate not only in the general hydrogen market but also in the clean hydrogen power market in the future to contribute to the activation of the domestic clean hydrogen ecosystem and the transition to eco-friendly energy."
