KOTRA announced on the 7th that it published this month an excellent casebook titled 'Breaking into the Global Market with Export Vouchers,' which contains stories from Korean companies that achieved export results by utilizing the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's export voucher program.
The casebook presents the export voucher services and export journeys from the companies' perspectives through interviews. It includes cases such as the only domestic ultrasonic sensor company expanding its territory into the autonomous driving market, a cybersecurity startup rising as a global star company, and a laser beauty medical device specialist company reborn as a global guardian of skin health. It tells stories of excellent export tech companies entering the global market with KOTRA's support.
It also introduces a guide to using export vouchers, details of business support, frequently asked questions (FAQ) by companies, and 14 major export marketing news items that can be used with export vouchers.
KOTRA plans to produce the casebook in print and distribute it to export companies. It can be downloaded for free from the Export Support Infrastructure Utilization Project website.
The export voucher program is a representative export support project that started in 2017. Over six years, KOTRA has selected about 6,000 participating companies and supported the entire process from preparation to export. This year, about 1,000 companies are participating in the program, using services such as logistics, certification, and overseas marketing.
Yoo Jung-yeol, president of KOTRA, said, "We hope that export tech companies will become a valuable foundation for creating new export successes in the global market," and added, "To resolve companies' export difficulties and enhance export capabilities, we plan to expand support for the export voucher program next year."
