ProColombia, a government-affiliated organization that carries out various projects to promote Colombian exports, tourism, and foreign investment, will jointly participate as the Colombia National Pavilion at Cafe Show 2023, held at COEX in Seoul from November 8 to 11, together with the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia (FNC) and the Colombian Coffee Delegation.
The coffee delegation participating with ProColombia consists of leading Colombian coffee companies representing the country. Six companies are participating: Luxcafe, A Coffee Family, Inconcexus, Descafecol, Villa Clara Caf?, and Cofinet.
Various programs will be held at ProColombia’s Colombia booth. At the event, visitors will have the opportunity to experience various aspects of Colombian coffee through exhibitions of Colombia’s signature products including green, specialty, decaffeinated, and roasted coffee, cupping sessions introduced by each company, and B2B meetings. It is expected to be an opportunity to build partnerships with Korean coffee companies.
Colombian Ambassador to Korea Alejandro Pelaez will attend the opening ceremony of the Colombia National Pavilion to emphasize the importance of Cafe Show and to highlight the strong diplomatic relations between Colombia and Korea as well as the excellence of Colombian coffee production.
Additionally, ProColombia will promote the drama "Coffee and the Scent of a Woman" in collaboration with TRA MEDIA by introducing it and holding on-site booth events. The popular drama produced by Colombia’s RCN channel, "Coffee and the Scent of a Woman," will air on TRA Media’s TVA Plus channel in November. The drama, which tells the story of lovers falling in love on a Colombian coffee farm, ranked 4th in Netflix’s global non-English series rankings and achieved an impressive worldwide weekly viewing time of 98,850,000 hours.
A ProColombia official stated, “Through participation in the Seoul Cafe Show, we plan to actively promote the Colombian coffee industry and showcase its potential as a sustainable investment destination and tourist spot. We want to leave a deep impression of Colombia on all visitors to the coffee show.”
Meanwhile, the Colombia booth at the Seoul Cafe Show is located at Hall C, C541.
