Justice Party Leadership Resigns Completely
"Will Broadly Engage with Third Political Forces"

Lee Jeong-mi, leader of the Justice Party, announced her resignation along with the entire leadership team.


On the 6th, at the Executive Committee meeting held at the National Assembly, Lee stated, "The 7th leadership team of the Justice Party will step down," adding, "The 'Emergency Committee for the Promotion of a New Party,' decided at yesterday's National Committee meeting, represents a party system transition and reorganization to boldly pave the way for the implementation of the National Committee's resolution."

She continued, "This decision was made in response to the party's demand to support the Emergency Committee for the Promotion of a New Party to move forward without hesitation in pioneering the mission of the era ahead of the general election," and said, "The Emergency Committee will communicate the Justice Party's vision of an ecological, equal, and caring social state to the public, and will swiftly advance the formation of an electoral coalition party for victory in the general election, producing results within December."


Lee stated, "The Justice Party has decided to promote an electoral coalition party platform based on the Justice Party to address the climate crisis, resolve inequality, and overcome two-party politics in next year's general election," and added, "We will broadly engage and collaborate with progressive parties including the Green Party, labor forces, and regional political groups, as well as third political forces."


Furthermore, Lee said, "I also extend my greetings to all those who expressed various opinions and concerns. Now is the time to unite and take action," and added, "Both I and the 7th leadership team, as members of the party, will do our best wherever we stand to ensure that the resolution of this National Committee bears fruit."
