Daejeon City announced on the 6th that it will hold a public recruitment for the ‘2024 Daejeon City Hometown Love Donation Program Thank-You Gift Suppliers’ from the 13th to the 15th.
The recruitment target is businesses that currently have offices in Daejeon as of the announcement date and can stably produce and deliver thank-you gifts. The thank-you gifts should, in principle, be items produced or manufactured in Daejeon.
Daejeon City plans to select the final suppliers through a review by the Thank-You Gift Selection Committee, evaluating 15 items across 8 categories including corporate stability, regional connectivity, alignment with business objectives, and product excellence.
The selected companies will provide thank-you gifts through the ‘Hometown Love e-Um’ system from January 1 to December 31 of next year.
Companies wishing to participate can visit the Communication Policy Division at Daejeon City Hall during the application period to submit the relevant documents.
For more detailed information about the recruitment, please check the public notices on the Daejeon City Hall website.
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their place of residence.
Donors can receive a full tax credit for donations up to 100,000 KRW, and for amounts exceeding 100,000 KRW, a 16.5% tax credit plus thank-you gifts such as local agricultural and specialty products within 30% of the donation amount.
Donations are used for welfare, culture and arts, and regional revitalization projects.
Kim Young-jin, head of the Communication Policy Division of Daejeon City, said, “We hope many local businesses will show interest and participate so that participants in the Hometown Love Donation Program can receive distinctive thank-you gifts.”
