Actor Im Si-wan has joined the donation campaign to establish the nation's first Lou Gehrig's disease care hospital.


On the 29th of last month, Im Si-wan participated in the '2023 Chuncheon Marathon' held in Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, completing the 10km course in 45 minutes and 21 seconds. He joined Sean's intention to donate 1,000 KRW per meter and donated 10 million KRW to the Seungil Hope Foundation. According to his agency Plum A&C on the 3rd, the donation will be used to build the nation's first Lou Gehrig's disease care hospital, scheduled to break ground this month.


Actor Im Si-wan, who took up running as a hobby through the opportunity of the movie '1947 Boston' (directed by Kang Je-gyu), is part of the running crew 'Unknown Crew' with Sean and participated in the '815' run on August 15th to commemorate Liberation Day.


Additionally, Im Si-wan has continued donating through Hope Bridge to help neighbors suffering from natural disasters such as floods and wildfires, and has also participated in donations to aid recovery and victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, continuing his good deeds.


Meanwhile, Im Si-wan will play the role of Jang Byung-tae in the online video service (OTT) Coupang Play series 'Boyhood,' which will be released every Friday starting from the 24th.
