Millions of Autumn Flowers and Various Programs Receive Praise

Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that 500,000 tourists visited the 2023 Hwasun Dolmen Autumn Flower Festival, held across the dolmen sites from the 20th to the 29th of last month for 10 days.

The 2023 Hwasun Dolmen Autumn Flower Festival received favorable reviews for its various programs designed to provide tourists seeking relaxation and leisure from their busy daily lives with a sense of rest and ease.

The ‘Hwasun Mirim’ cafe, planned at the Old Prehistoric Experience Site, was highly praised as a beautiful resting space and concluded successfully.

It operated as a popular photo spot (photo zone), harmonizing with the large-scale sunflower field.

A tourist who visited ‘Hwasun Mirim’ sent a message directly to the organizers’ SNS, expressing gratitude: “I happened to visit with a colleague tired from company life and left feeling very happily recharged. It’s a wonderful space that rivals overseas places. I want to come again.”

In addition, the DM concert featuring talented musicians, classical street (busking) performances held on an outdoor stage set against nature, a bonsai exhibition arranged like a single artwork with hundreds of dolmens, a family-friendly family zone, a water-viewing zone by the reservoir, and hundreds of chrysanthemum sculptures also received high satisfaction from tourists.

A county official said, “We thank everyone for the great interest shown in this festival. We appreciate the positive response to the programs that provided rest and leisure to tourists, just like the festival’s theme, while preparing for the 2023 Hwasun Dolmen Autumn Flower Festival. We will work hard to make next year’s festival even more satisfying.”
