On the 2nd at 1 PM, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) held the ‘Guardian Safety and Health Activity Best Practice Presentation Contest’ together with Gyeonggi Province at the 4th floor banquet hall of Osong H Hotel Sejong City near Osong Station.
This presentation contest is significant as it was held to prevent industrial accidents by integrating and publicly sharing excellent cases independently discovered by KOSHA and Gyeonggi Province.
Participants and awardees of the 'Guardian Safety and Health Activity Excellence Presentation Contest' are taking a group commemorative photo.
KOSHA and Gyeonggi Province selected and presented a total of six outstanding cases, three from each institution, after preliminary screening rounds (1st and 2nd) of innovative safety and health activities with high industrial accident prevention effects during the patrol activities of the guardians.
KOSHA shared ▲ the establishment of a patrol system using Google Maps ▲ on-site technical support visits to prevent falls from roofs and scaffolding ▲ focused management cases of construction sites based on accident analysis. Gyeonggi Province introduced ▲ the first step to zero accidents: communication, empathy, and companionship ▲ focused management of regional industrial accident prevention ▲ close management and guidance cases of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Ryu Jang-jin, Director of Safety and Health Business at KOSHA, said, “We will strive to expand the excellent cases of guardian activities to other local governments through this presentation contest,” and added, “KOSHA will further strengthen cooperation with local governments to prevent major accidents at small and medium-sized workplaces where safety management is weak.”
