Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Social Welfare announced that it is recruiting new master's degree students (5 semesters / 2 years and 6 months program) for the 2024 academic year first semester (evening) in the Department of Social Welfare, Department of Child Welfare, and Department of Youth Studies.
Eligibility for application includes those who have obtained (or are expected to obtain) a bachelor's degree or are recognized by law as having equivalent or higher academic qualifications, regardless of their major.
Applications can be submitted 24 hours a day through UwayApply until midnight on Friday, November 10. Various documents, including the application form, must be submitted in person or by mail by 4 p.m. on Monday, November 13. After document screening and interviews, the list of successful candidates will be announced on Friday, December 8 on the Graduate School of Social Welfare website.
For over 50 years, Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Social Welfare has been dedicated to cultivating professional social welfare personnel equipped with knowledge, skills, and values that meet the demands of the global era. It is characterized by educating various social science theories based on critical thinking and scientific research methods to nurture the right social welfare workforce to lead the realization of a welfare state.
The Department of Social Welfare aims to train professionals who lead social welfare practice and research by teaching knowledge of Korean social welfare policies and practices, social welfare ideals and values, and theories and practical skills. Upon completing the required courses, students can obtain a Level 2 Social Worker certificate and qualify to take the Level 1 exam upon graduation.
The Department of Child Welfare focuses on holistic child care and develops research and practical abilities to establish child welfare theories and methods, enabling the development of child welfare models suitable for the conditions of our society.
The Department of Youth Studies aims to cultivate youth leaders equipped with professional knowledge and qualities so that modern youth can form mature personalities, realize their self-identity, and grow into healthy citizens.
There are also abundant scholarship benefits for new and current students. In particular, new students currently working in the same industry can receive a tuition fee reduction of up to 1 million KRW for the first semester. After obtaining a master's degree, students can also apply for doctoral programs at the general graduate school.
