Awarded the Chairman's Prize of the Korea Employers Federation
Excellent Evaluation in Core Criteria: Transparency, Competence, and Empathy Sections
Woowa Brothers, the logistics service provider for Baedal Minjok (CEO Kim Byung-woo), announced on the 2nd that it was selected as an excellent company in the private sector at the '2023 Fair Recruitment Best Practice Competition Awards Ceremony' and received the Chairman's Award from the Korea Employers Federation.
The Fair Recruitment Best Practice Competition is an event conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. It has been held annually since 2017 to discover excellent cases of fair recruitment practices in both public and private sectors and to promote a culture of fair hiring.
Elegant Youth are receiving the Korea Employers Federation President's Award at the '2023 Fair Recruitment Best Practices Competition Awards Ceremony' held on the 1st at the Royal Seoul Hotel.
At this year's Fair Recruitment Best Practice Competition, Woowa Brothers received excellent evaluations in the core assessment criteria of ▲Transparency (efforts to provide sufficient and prompt information to job seekers during the recruitment process) ▲Competency-Centered (designing and operating recruitment systems to evaluate candidates' capabilities and potential for growth) ▲Empathy (efforts to reflect job seekers' opinions in the recruitment process).
Woowa Brothers' principle of fair recruitment is competency-based evaluation. Based on a horizontal organizational culture, they operate an internal competency level system where not only team leaders but also team members transparently participate in mutual competency level assessments. Additionally, through close preliminary meetings with departments seeking new hires, they share detailed information about the desired positions and establish job-focused recruitment plans and evaluation criteria.
The second principle is designing a recruitment experience that prioritizes candidates. Woowa Brothers provides candidates with sufficient information about the company in advance and actively reflects applicants' opinions and needs to continuously improve the recruitment process. Furthermore, Woowa Brothers holds quarterly events inviting industry professionals to share experiences with current leaders and regularly participates in job fairs to meet candidates offline. To expand contact points with candidates online, they also operate a Coffee Chat Lounge.
A representative from Woowa Brothers' Talent Acquisition Team said, "We are making efforts to approach recruitment proactively by regularly publishing related content to help candidates better understand Woowa Brothers and diversifying various channels both online and offline."
