Yoon Criticizes "Kakao Taxi Extortion"... Kakao Mobility Announces "Complete Overhaul of Commission System"

Kakao Mobility has begun a comprehensive overhaul of the commission system for Kakao Taxi.

On the 1st, Kakao Mobility announced, "We have decided to hold an emergency meeting to gather opinions from taxi drivers in order to completely revamp the taxi commission system."

Kakao Mobility plans to coordinate schedules with major taxi organizations soon to start discussions.

President Yoon Suk-yeol criticized, during an emergency economic and livelihood meeting held at a book cafe in Mapo-gu, Seoul, saying, "Kakao's tyranny over taxis is highly unethical."

Kakao Mobility stated, "Through the meeting, we will listen to the voices of taxi drivers, passengers, and the government, and strive to reorganize the service into one that satisfies everyone more."
