On the 1st (local time), the IDF released photos showing Saar-class patrol ships patrolling near the port of Eilat, a resort city on the Red Sea in southeastern Israel.

Earlier, foreign media including AP reported that the IDF views the Houthis, supported by Iran and allied with Hamas, as having launched retaliatory attacks, considering this area a new front.

The previous day, the Houthis announced via their own broadcast, Al Masirah TV, that they had carried out drone and ballistic missile attacks targeting Israel three times.

The statement emphasized that missile and drone attacks would continue until Israel's provocations cease.

According to the IDF, there was an attempted drone infiltration in Eilat the previous day. In the afternoon of the same day, missiles were launched toward Israel from the Red Sea side.

The IDF stated that fighter jets and the medium-to-high altitude air defense system Arrow were deployed to shoot down these 'hostile targets.'
