Kim Hae-cheol, Chief of the Mokpo Maritime Police Station, conducted an on-site inspection of public safety and assessed the prevention status of maritime safety accidents in preparation for the winter season.

On the 1st, Chief Kim visited maritime safety sites in the vulnerable waters of Yeonggwang-gun, including Anmado and Songido, using the coastal patrol boat of the local police station on the 31st of last month to inspect the prevention status of winter ship fires and coastal accidents.

Additionally, Chief Kim presented certificates of appreciation to the head of the Anmado Fishing Cooperative and the civilian maritime rescue captains of Anmado and Songido, expressing gratitude for the efforts of the 'Civilian Maritime Rescue Team,' who serve as hidden helpers of the maritime police in various emergency situations such as patient transport.

He then listened to the difficulties faced by the fishing cooperatives and local residents of Anmado and Songido, urging smooth information exchange and a cooperative system between the local residents and the police station in the event of maritime incidents or accidents.

Kim Hae-cheol, Chief of the Mokpo Maritime Police Station, said, “I am always grateful to the local residents who actively support us as if it were their own matter when maritime incidents or accidents occur,” and added, “We will maintain a cooperative system and make every effort to prevent maritime safety accidents in preparation for the winter season.”
