'Dementia Safe City' Incheon Yeonsu-gu... Dementia Treatment Support 기준중위소득 120%→140%

Yeonsu-gu, Incheon announced on the 1st that it has expanded the support for dementia treatment management costs from the previous 120% or less to 140% or less since last September to reduce the economic burden on dementia patients and their families.

As of 2021, the annual management cost per dementia patient was 21.12 million KRW, an increase of 14.1% compared to 2010, and long-term support is needed to alleviate the economic burden. The dementia treatment management cost support project provides up to 30,000 KRW per month (360,000 KRW per year) for the patient's share of dementia medication costs and the copayment for medical treatment on the day of prescription.

Anyone aged 60 or older, registered as a resident of Yeonsu-gu, and diagnosed with dementia registered at the Dementia Safety Center with a standard median income of 140% or less can apply.

To apply, bring the prescription with the dementia diagnosis disease codes (F00~03, G30, F10.7) and dementia treatment medication name, ID card, bankbook copy, family relation certificate, and medication receipt, and visit the Yeonsu-gu Dementia Safety Center.

Meanwhile, Yeonsu-gu plans to expand dementia management projects to create a dementia-safe city, including ▲early dementia screening ▲telephone-based cognitive program Call-Action ▲issuance of identification tags for wandering elderly ▲provision of care supplies ▲dementia-safe villages ▲customized case management.

A Yeonsu-gu official stated, "We hope that more residents will benefit and reduce their burden through the expansion of support targets," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide service support that can reduce the economic burden on dementia patients and their families."
