DL Construction recently announced on the 31st that it maintained its overall 'A' rating, the same level as the previous year, in the 'ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Evaluation' released by the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS).
In terms of detailed ratings, the 'Social (S)' category improved by one grade compared to last year, achieving an A+ rating. Meanwhile, the 'Environmental (A)' and 'Governance (G)' categories maintained their previous levels with A and B+ ratings, respectively. These achievements stem from efforts to grow sustainably with society across various fields including environment, social, and governance.
DL Construction enhanced its capabilities in the environmental sector by utilizing a company-wide environmental information system to advance environmental management activities and disclose green purchasing policies.
In the social sector, efforts continued with strengthened support activities for partner companies, operation of diverse social contribution programs, implementation of quality improvement activities, and improvement of customer feedback and complaint handling processes.
In the governance sector, the company systematized board reporting and approval of ESG-related activities, continuously improving through ESG activation plans, risk reviews, and evaluations of related activities.
Notably, the company ensured objective evaluation of its performance by having its sustainability management report verified by external organizations. Additionally, it manages and establishes company-wide activity levels and goals based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, an international ESG disclosure framework.
Beyond the KCGS ESG evaluation, DL Construction has also achieved notable results such as obtaining an overall 'A' grade and a size-specific 'AA' grade in the first half of 2023 ESG evaluation by Sustinvest, earning excellent grades for three consecutive years in the Win-Win Growth Index evaluation, and receiving the highest grade in the mutual cooperation evaluation among construction contractors.
Building on these accumulated achievements, DL Construction plans to further strengthen its ESG activities next year.
