Ediya Coffee announced on the 31st that, riding on the high popularity of its Black Sesame Bungeoppang, which sold over 3.5 million units since its launch last winter, it will release two new winter snacks.

The two winter snacks consist of Corn Cheese Egg Bread and Honey Hotteok. The Corn Cheese Egg Bread features a soft full-bread dough filled with egg, sweet corn, and cheese, allowing customers to enjoy the soft and savory taste of traditional egg bread along with a slightly salty flavor.

The Honey Hotteok, which was very popular during the winter season two years ago, is being reintroduced due to customer demand. It is made by stuffing chewy glutinous rice dough with sweet and savory hotteok filling and grilling it to a golden brown, creating a crispy outside and moist inside texture.

According to Ediya Coffee, sales of the two Black Sesame Bungeoppang varieties (Black Sesame Red Bean Bungeoppang and Black Sesame Cream Puff Bungeoppang) have surged recently due to the chilly temperatures and large daily temperature fluctuations. From the 1st to the 29th of this month, sales of the two Black Sesame Bungeoppang products increased by more than 70% compared to the same period last month (September 1 to September 29).

An Ediya Coffee representative said, “We have established a lineup of four representative winter snacks so that customers can conveniently enjoy street snacks at Ediya stores nationwide without having to visit street vendors on cold days. We plan to continue expanding our product range with new and appetizing items that capture the seasonal atmosphere.”
