Gominjeong, SBS Radio Interview
"Scream Faction Nomination Massacre? Trust Must Be Built"
"If There Is Criticism Toward Party Leadership, It Should Be Accepted Graciously"
Ko Min-jung, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 31st regarding the factional conflicts within the party, "I am classified as so-called Bi-myeong, but the person who most strongly discouraged me from expressing my intention to resign was Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party."
On the same day, Ko said on SBS Radio's 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show,' "From the perspective of those who criticize the so-called Bi-myeong (non-Lee Jae-myung faction), the leader's judgment is wrong. So if you try to make reasons, there is no end to it," adding, "Therefore, it is necessary to look at the overall context and flow."
She continued, "In fact, when members of the National Assembly gather, many say, 'I am really confused whether I am Bi-myeong or Chin-myeong (pro-Lee faction).'"
Regarding the party leadership's future response to concerns about the Bi-myeong faction's 'nomination massacre,' she said, "This will not be resolved by a single incident or a single word," and added, "All of these things must accumulate layer by layer to build trust and belief."
She also said, "Regarding the recent approval or rejection, Leader Lee said, 'I will not argue,' and did not close the door on disciplinary actions," explaining, "That was also a very big message, but I thought that alone would not satisfy those who oppose Leader Lee Jae-myung."
Ko said, "If there are criticisms like that about serving as a Supreme Council member this time, I must accept them gracefully," and added, "In the future, when those people offer opinions for party unity and development, it will be important to have an attitude and posture that does not lightly dismiss them, even if it is somewhat uncomfortable."
