Daishin Financial Group has joined an eco-friendly campaign to reduce the use of disposable products.

Daishin Securities announced on the 30th that Lee Yir-yong, Chairman of Daishin Financial Group, participated in the "Disposable Products Zero Challenge" organized by the Ministry of Environment. This relay campaign aims to reduce the use of disposable products and promote the use of reusable items for environmental protection.

Chairman Lee, who took part in the campaign, said, "It is the duty of our generation to use the environment cleanly and pass it on to the next generation," adding, "Through this campaign, we will put more effort into protecting the environment in everyday life and across all corporate activities."

Since 2017, Daishin Financial Group has been using eco-bags made from fabric scraps instead of disposable paper shopping bags at its headquarters and all branches to protect the environment. Additionally, since September last year, a reusable cup system has been introduced in the company’s cafes. Thanks to the active participation of employees, more than 230,000 disposable cups have been reduced so far, which corresponds to a reduction of approximately 6,800 kg of carbon emissions.

This campaign is conducted in a relay format. Chairman Lee recommended Kim Jung-wan, Chairman of Maeil Holdings, and Ko Jun, CEO of AK Plaza, as the next participants.
