A 13-year-old boy in China was caught driving his father's taxi for 500 km in a fit of anger after being scolded by his father, drawing attention after the incident was revealed late.
According to local media including Huanqiu Shibao on the 29th, at around 10 a.m. on the 23rd, police at the Langfang Highway District in Hebei Province discovered a minor driving a taxi while inspecting vehicles passing through the checkpoint on the northern route of the new airport.
Investigation revealed that the driver was 13-year-old Pan, and two boys aged 16 and 13 were riding along in the taxi.
Pan told the police, "I usually sit in the front passenger seat of the taxi and learned how to operate it by watching my father drive," adding, "After being scolded by my father, I wanted to go far away to get some fresh air."
