On the 29th (local time), Iran warned Israel, which has effectively entered the ground war phase in the Gaza Strip, the stronghold of the Palestinian armed faction Hamas, saying it had "crossed the red line" and threatened to respond.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi posted on X (formerly Twitter) that "the crimes of the Zionist regime have crossed the red line," warning that "this could make everyone take action."
President Raisi also said, "The United States tells us to do nothing while continuing to provide comprehensive support to Israel."
This warning came as Israel repeatedly bombed the Gaza Strip at midnight and advanced tanks and troops, effectively entering the ground war phase.
In particular, concerns about the conflict spreading to the Middle East have increased after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the war had entered its "second phase" with the ground military operation that began the previous day in the Gaza Strip.
