Gangbuk-gu to Host 'Pet Cheerful Sports Day' on Animal Day at Buk Seoul Dream Forest Dog Playground on 28th

On the 28th, Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, attended the ‘Visiting Dog’ pet sports event held at the Buk Seoul Dream Forest dog playground in celebration of ‘Animal Day,’ sharing joy with pet families.

The event, organized by the district for pet families, was attended by about 60 dogs and over 100 dog owners. They enjoyed various games such as O·X quiz, obstacle running, come here, and wait for treats, creating happy memories. Booths for health consultations, behavior consultations, hygiene grooming, caricatures, and keyring making also received high praise.

Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, “Gangbuk-gu has been providing facilities such as dog playgrounds and education to resolve conflicts with non-pet owners to create a pet coexistence society. We will continue to lead the way in building a happy city where pet families live together with their pets.”

Meanwhile, on the 20th, Mayor Lee Soon-hee held the ‘2023 Animal Day Ceremony’ at the district office auditorium and declared the ‘World Animal Rights’ with about 300 pet owners.
