Lotte Department Store Relay Bungeoppang Popup Store... 'Unique Flavors' at 15 Locations

Lotte Department Store will hold a 'Relay Bungeoppang Popup Store' at 15 stores from November 1 to December 7. In addition to the 15 confirmed stores, they plan to continuously expand the participating stores.

According to Lotte Department Store on the 29th, they will host a 'National Bungeo Week' event in collaboration with 'Bungeo Yulangdan,' a famous bungeoppang specialty store in Seongsu-dong. Starting with the Nowon store on November 1, the popup stores will open in a relay format according to each store's schedule.

The popup will offer a variety of menus, including the classic sweet red bean flavor as well as unique flavors targeting younger customers. At all 15 stores, sweet red bean bungeoppang and cream puff bungeoppang will be sold, and depending on the store, selected unique menus such as egg cheese, pea, corn cheese, spicy chicken dumplings, and special pizza will be available. Especially, the special pizza flavor, filled with Bungeo Yulangdan’s exclusive pizza toppings and mozzarella cheese, is a specially planned menu for this popup and can only be tasted at Lotte Department Store.

Customer participation events will also be held. Visitors who upload a certification photo on their personal social networking service (SNS) at the popup will be entered into a draw to receive bungeoppang-shaped keyrings, scrubbers, and more. Additionally, a promotion will be conducted where purchasing customers will receive a '2024 calendar poster' made by Bungeo Yulangdan on a first-come, first-served basis at each store.

A Lotte Department Store official said, "The Bungeo Yulangdan popup held last spring at the main and Jamsil stores was so popular that waiting was necessary. This time, with the arrival of winter, the main season for bungeoppang, we have expanded the participating stores and put great effort into planning unique menus, so we expect even greater customer response."
