Gochang-gun 'Youth Creator' One-Month Living Program Receives Positive Response

Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, has successfully concluded this year's newly launched program, 'Youth Creators, One Month Living in Gochang,' with enthusiastic responses from participants.

According to the county on the 27th, 'Youth Creators, One Month Living in Gochang' is a pilot project aimed at promoting long-term population inflow by allowing young people in Gochang to freely experience life there and introducing the charm of Gochang to youth from other regions.

A total of 38 applicants under the age of 45 nationwide applied for this program, of which 24 were selected, recording a competition rate of about 1.6 to 1. It was evident that there was high interest as participants' lives in Gochang were also broadcast on TV programs.

Starting with an orientation at the end of August, participants stayed in Gochang for a month, experiencing various tourist resources such as the Dolmen Media Art, Walking the Path of Emptiness, Traditional Home-brewed Liquor Experience, Late Firefly Ecological Tour, Paragliding, and Duam Chodang, and posted their reviews on personal SNS.

The content posted by participants on personal SNS platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and blogs totaled about 230 posts, averaging 9.5 posts per person.

The county plans to support the living expenses for the one-month stay, including accommodation fees, to participants who submit supporting documents such as a final report.

Jung Seung-hwan, CEO of Cosmo Farm Co., Ltd., which operated the program, said, "I am proud that most participants expressed satisfaction," adding, "It was a great opportunity to interact with young people nationwide."

Lee Young-yoon, Director of New Vitality Economic Policy at the county, said, "I am glad that participants seemed to truly enjoy Gochang," and added, "I hope this was an opportunity for them to regain vitality in life and realize the value and charm of Gochang."
