Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced the selection of the "10 Best Yangcheon Autumn Foliage Trails" where visitors can fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere. This year, the peak foliage season in downtown Seoul is predicted to be from late this month to early next month.
The selected "Yangcheon Autumn Foliage Trails" include a total of 10 locations: ▲ Yongwangsan Dullegil (Mokdong 199-51) ▲ Dalmaeul Park Walking Trail (Mokdong 946-1) ▲ Mokdong 9 Complex Alleyway (Mokdongseo-ro 10-gil) ▲ Mokdong 13 Complex Alleyway (Mokdongdong-ro 6-gil) ▲ Galsan Park Metasequoia Road (Sinjeong-dong 162-56) ▲ Path to Sintree Park (Mokdongdong-ro 2-gil) ▲ Sinjeongsan Dullegil (Sinjeong-dong 521) ▲ Sinwol Neighborhood Park Walking Trail (Sinwol-dong 987-2) ▲ Anyangcheon Embankment Road (Yanghwa Bridge to Ogeum Bridge) ▲ West Seoul Lake Park Walking Trail (Nambusunhwan-ro 64-gil 20).
The total length of the "10 Best Yangcheon Autumn Foliage Trails" is 10.84 km, featuring tree species such as zelkova, king cherry trees, ginkgo, and metasequoia, which is rarely seen in urban areas.
The "Path to Sintree Park (Mokdongdong-ro 2-gil)," also selected as a Seoul Autumn Foliage Trail, features magnificent tunnels of colorful autumn leaves formed by large zelkova trees with trunk diameters of 30 to 50 cm at chest height. Known as the "Autumn Foliage Trail Embracing the Park," it connects directly to the nearby Sintree Park, making it an ideal spot for family outings and walks.
"Sinjeongsan Dullegil" is a gently sloping deck trail where people of all ages can comfortably stroll and enjoy the autumn foliage up close in the forest. The "Anyangcheon Embankment Road," which combines a riparian ecosystem with a walking trail, offers expansive views and autumn colors simultaneously, making it a beloved route among residents.
Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, "This autumn, I hope everyone spends happy times feeling the full autumn atmosphere with their loved ones on the nearby Yangcheon Autumn Foliage Trails."
