The 273rd Geochang County Council Extraordinary Session Opening

Listening to the 2024 Military Administration Major Work Plan Report, etc.

The Geochang County Council in Gyeongnam opened the 273rd extraordinary session on the 25th and entered a 14-day agenda.

During this extraordinary session, the council plans to handle ▲the 2024 major county administration work plan report ▲the 2023 administrative audit action plan report ▲21 ordinance bills (5 initiated by council members) ▲and 9 general agenda items.

Deputy Chairperson Park Su-ja, who presided over the meeting on behalf of Chairperson Lee Hong-hee, expressed in the opening remarks, “I thank the citizens of Geochang and related officials, including County Governor Goo In-mo, for actively preparing and participating during the recent grand festival.”

To fellow council members, she requested, “When listening to the report on next year’s major county administration work plan, please carefully review it from the perspective of the citizens and candidly convey opinions on the effectiveness and issues of the projects to the executive branch.”

In the first plenary session, council members Shin Jae-hwa, Shin Mi-jung, and Kim Hyang-ran gave 5-minute free speeches. Councilor Shin spoke on the topic “The demolition of abandoned houses must not be delayed any longer,” Councilor Shin advocated “Let’s prepare for a public bus system starting now!,” and Councilor Kim addressed “Creating a safe childbirth environment and early establishment of a comprehensive childcare support center,” urging the executive branch to take measures.
