LG Electronics has been identified as the company with the most home appliances loved by domestic consumers.
On the 25th, CEO Score, a corporate data research institute, announced that among a total of 3,600 products across 12 categories in the 'Naver Shopping Ranking Top 300' for the home appliance sector on Naver Shopping from August 28 to September 26, LG Electronics had the highest number with 586 products.
This survey was conducted based on a total of 5,710,268 consumer reviews and ratings from various online shopping platforms, including Naver and Coupang, which are shared through Naver.
Following LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics ranked second with 490 products in the top 300 items, and Philips ranked third with 102 products.
In particular, LG Electronics recorded 124 products among the top 300 refrigerators, showing great popularity among consumers. Additionally, more than half of the washing machine and dryer category, with 158 products, were ranked, along with many products in vacuum cleaners (40) and seasonal appliances (34) making it to the top group.
LG Electronics also had the highest average star rating. The average rating for LG Electronics products was 4.85 points, while Samsung Electronics recorded 4.84 points.
In terms of the number of consumer reviews, Samsung Electronics took first place with 387,700 reviews, followed by LG Electronics (266,463 reviews) and Philips (223,222 reviews).
In the so-called MZ home appliance sector, including air fryers, induction cooktops, coffee machines, clothing care devices, dishwashers, and beer makers, LG Electronics showed dominance. Among the 10 items considered MZ home appliances, LG Electronics ranked first in five categories: air purifiers, beer makers, dishwashers, clothes dryers, and clothing care devices. Samsung Electronics took first place in the induction cooktop category among MZ home appliances. Additionally, Roborock ranked first in robot vacuum cleaners, iNIK in air fryers, Hanmi Flexible in food waste disposers, and Nespresso in coffee machines.
In the three major home appliances?TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines?Samsung Electronics included 104 products in the top 300 for the TV category, receiving 79,485 reviews and the highest average rating of 4.86. LG Electronics ranked first in the refrigerator category in terms of the number of top 300 products and average star rating.
Especially in the premium product segment priced over 2 million KRW, Samsung Electronics was preferred for TVs, while LG Electronics was favored for refrigerators and washing machines/dryers. Other brands such as Innos, Estra, The Ham, Lucoms Electronics, and Wasabi Mango were ranked high in the LED TV and mid-to-low price TV markets.
