In March 2020, a YouTube channel called 'Almighty TV' uploaded a video in which a shaman interpreted the fortunes of director Bong Joon-ho, who won four Academy Awards for the film 'Parasite,' and key actors including Lee Sun-kyun.

The shaman appearing in the video received Lee Sun-kyun’s fortune information and then made a serious expression while tilting his head.

He said, "Why do I see this person wearing handcuffs?" and added, "It’s not by his own will but by someone else’s. Why do I suddenly see this?"

He then asked, "This person wouldn’t do such things (drugs), right?" and added, "I see images of handcuffs and injections."

He continued, "I don’t know. I will tell you what the grandmother (spirit) tells me," and warned, "Be careful as the reputation built overnight could collapse."

In particular, he added, "Be cautious in October," and coincidentally, Lee Sun-kyun came under police investigation related to drug use in October three years later.

As the video became an issue, inquiries have been made asking "Which fortune-telling house predicted Lee Sun-kyun’s scandal?" and people have been searching for the shaman in the video.

Regarding this, Almighty TV, which produced the video, posted on the 20th that the shaman himself passed away two years ago.

They stated, "This video was filmed three years ago," and added, "Due to the issue surrounding this video, the shaman became famous, and there have been many inquiries asking for his contact information and address."

They continued, "We remember that the shaman lived under difficult circumstances, facing social scrutiny and financial hardship. After some inquiries just in case, we learned that the shaman’s health deteriorated and he passed away about two years ago."

They also said, "We hope this news will put an end to various manipulation controversies," and added, "Please leave positive comments for the late shaman."

Meanwhile, Lee Sun-kyun’s agency, Hodoo&U Entertainment, on the 20th said, "We deeply apologize for causing concern due to reports about actor Lee Sun-kyun," and stated, "We are currently verifying the exact facts regarding the allegations against actor Lee Sun-kyun and will sincerely cooperate with any investigations conducted by authorities going forward."
