Applications Accepted Until the 3rd of Next Month
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a design competition starting from the 23rd for the 'Hwaseong Senior Plus Center,' a complex facility combining the Eastern District Senior Citizens' Hall and Senior Club.
The 'Hwaseong Senior Plus Center' will be constructed on a part of the social welfare facility site at 634-2 Bansong-dong within Dongtan 1 New Town, with a total floor area of 4,650㎡, consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors.
The center will be a complex facility composed of a 'Senior Citizens' Hall' to expand social participation opportunities for the elderly and a 'Senior Club,' a senior job support institution aimed at creating various job opportunities for seniors.
The city will accept design application submissions via email until December 3rd and will receive entries on December 6th. After evaluation, the final winning design will be announced on December 28th. To facilitate this, the city plans to hold an on-site briefing session for participants on the 26th.
The winner will be granted the design rights, and other prize-winning entries within the top five will receive compensation according to the architectural design competition operation guidelines.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, stated, "We will do our best to build the Hwaseong Senior Plus Center to ensure a vibrant old age for our senior citizens."
