'Live Broadcast Swearing' Jung Yoon-jung's 'Cunning Comeback' After 6 Months

In April, Indefinitely Banned from Appearing on Hyundai Home Shopping
Appeared as a Sales Guest for His Own Company

TV home shopping host Jung Yoon-jung, who was expelled from broadcasting due to profanity during a live broadcast, will return to NS Home Shopping on the 21st.

On the 19th, NS Home Shopping announced, "Host Jung will appear on the sales broadcast of Nature & Nature's 'Derma Cure Baby Cream' at 8:30 PM on the 21st of this month." However, this broadcast is not part of her personal specialized program 'Jung Show.' Jung is the vice president of the cosmetics company Nature & Nature and will appear as a guest on this broadcast.

NS Home Shopping stated that they received confirmation of Jung's appearance from Nature & Nature this week and said, "Intervention by TV home shopping companies in the selection of cast members for partner sales broadcasts could be considered management interference." However, seemingly mindful of Jung's past controversy, they added, "We will devote great effort to monitoring to ensure compliance with broadcasting regulations."

Some have criticized Jung's return method?appearing as a host affiliated with the cosmetics brand through a partner contract rather than a direct contract with the home shopping broadcaster?as a 'cunning comeback.' Meanwhile, NS Home Shopping announced a revision of its broadcasting review regulations on the same day. According to the revision, NS Home Shopping has introduced a 'one-strike-out' system. This imposes penalties up to an indefinite suspension of appearances if a serious issue occurs even once.

Choi Sung-bok, head of NS Home Shopping's Broadcasting Review and Consumer Protection Team, said, "Through strengthening this review process, we will take the lead in implementing trustworthy broadcasts in the TV home shopping industry with stricter standards that meet customer expectations."

Previously, Jung caused controversy in January during a Hyundai Home Shopping broadcast by uttering profanity, saying, "XX, I was going to go out." At that time, Jung swore because the product she was selling was sold out, but the broadcast could not be ended early. Subsequently, in April, Hyundai Home Shopping decided to ban Jung from appearing on its home shopping broadcasts indefinitely. This was the first time in the industry that a broadcast ban was imposed on a specific host or brand guest.

Jung, who appeared on various home shopping channels as a freelancer, is a veteran with 20 years of experience and is known as the highest-paid host in the industry.
