Apple, Boeing, GM, Schaeffler, Rivian and Others Attract Buyers
Consultations in Materials, Parts, Equipment, ICT, Energy, Bio, and Defense Industries
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA announced on the 19th that they held the '2023 Second Half Boom-up Korea Export Consultation' at KINTEX in Ilsan on the 18th and 19th.
Through 129 KOTRA trade offices worldwide, they attracted overseas buyers from 62 countries and over 700 companies. More than 8,000 one-on-one export consultations were arranged.
Buyers such as Apple, Boeing, GM, Schaeffler, and Rivian were attracted.
KOTRA increased the participation of Korean companies in the materials, parts, and equipment sectors. They also conducted business consultations in various fields including ICT (Information and Communication Technology), infrastructure and energy, medical and bio, premium consumer goods, services and franchises, and defense industry.
Manufacturers from North America, Europe, and ASEAN visited Korea to explore future car cooperation plans with Korean companies. To capitalize on the 'K-Food' craze, a Korean food experience space was prepared.

This event was held for the first time in conjunction with several exhibitions. It was co-hosted with the International Mobility Industry Exhibition, Materials-Parts-Equipment Root Technology Exhibition, Metal Industry Exhibition, and International Tools and Smart Welding Automation Exhibition, all held at KINTEX during the same period.
It was also linked with regional consultation events. The schedules of Seoul International Electric & Electronics Fair (SIEF), Busan Shipbuilding & Marine Exhibition (KORMARINE), Daegu Future Mobility Expo (DIFA), Hwaseong Mobility Exhibition, Osong Cosmetics & Beauty Industry Expo, Incheon Security Industry Exhibition, and Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Industry Exhibition (ADEX) were arranged before and after the Boom-up Korea event. This encouraged buyers to participate in various events.
Additionally, promotional and experience zones such as the Export First Step Support Center, One-Stop Export Order Support Consulting Zone, Digital Trade (DX) Marketing Experience Center, ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Promotion Center, Invest Korea Investment Promotion Center, Busan Expo Attraction Center, Ulju-gun Promotion Center, and Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Promotion Center were showcased.
Yoo Jung-yeol, President of KOTRA, said, "We are making an all-out effort across the organization to sell even one more product overseas," adding, "We will strive to regularize and brand large flagship projects like Boom-up Korea to connect more buyers with Korean companies."
