Participation of over 30 Excellent SMEs on 25-26, Offering Photo Sessions and Startup Competitions
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) will hold the '2023 Dongjak-gu Employment and Startup Fair' on the 25th and 26th to alleviate residents' job search difficulties and manpower shortages in small and medium-sized enterprises.
On the first day of the event, the 25th, from 2 PM, about 30 outstanding companies located in Dongjak-gu and nearby autonomous districts will conduct on-site recruitment at the district office auditorium.
They plan to hire approximately 300 applicants for positions ranging from simple office assistance to specialized fields such as insurance managers and construction machinery inspectors.
Additionally, various side events to support employment will be held, including personalized color diagnosis for job seekers, hair and makeup services, and resume photo shoots.
Furthermore, 10 related organizations, including the Dongjak-gu Public Health Center’s mental health checkup and the Dongjak 50 Plus Center’s social contribution support project for middle-aged individuals, will offer various programs for job seekers.
On the 26th, employment support programs such as job and career counseling, on-site interviews, and recruitment briefings by five outstanding companies will be held from 10 AM at the Dongjak Employment Support Center (2nd floor, Megastudy Tower, 140 Noryangjin-ro) for young job seekers.
In line with the 4th Industrial Revolution era, including artificial intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT, special employment lectures titled 'Becoming a Developer for Non-Majors' and a startup competition will be promoted, with prize money and consultations from startup experts provided to the winning teams.
Participation in the fair is open to any resident seeking employment and can be pre-registered through the Dongjak Employment Support Center. On the day of the event, participants can attend on-site interviews by visiting desired recruiting companies with a resume and ID.
Going forward, the district plans to offer a 'Employment Counseling Service' for job seekers who do not find jobs at the fair, allowing them to receive follow-up care from career counselors at the Dongjak Employment Support Center.
For more details about the employment and startup fair, inquiries can be made to the Dongjak Employment Support Center or the district office’s Economic Policy Division.
Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, “Through this employment and startup fair, we hope job seekers find customized jobs and participating companies find suitable talents for their positions,” adding, “Residents interested in employment and startups are encouraged to actively participate.”
