Dong-Eui University Awards Industry-Academic Cooperation Prize and Excellent Industry-Academic Cooperation Faculty Members

On the 17th at 10 a.m., Dong-Eui University held an awards ceremony for the Industry-Academic Cooperation Awards, including the '2023 Seokdang Medal' and 'Outstanding Industry-Academic Cooperation Faculty,' in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the main building.


This year, Professor Lee Kyung-gyu from the Department of Japanese Studies, Professor Kwon Chan-young from the Department of Korean Medicine, Professor Park Young-do from the Department of Metallic Materials Engineering, Professor Kim Yi-seok from the Department of Film Studies, and Professor Yoon Hye-kyung from the Division of Basic Science and Liberal Arts were selected as silver medal recipients of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Award (Seokdang Medal).


Im Cheol from the IPP Long-term Field Training Support Center, Kang Min-su from the Department of Future Automotive Engineering, and Park Hyun from the AI Grand ICT Research Center received commendations as Outstanding Industry-Academic Cooperation Faculty.


Although four candidates were selected for the gold medal of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Award (Seokdang Medal), all had received gold medals within the past three years and were therefore excluded from this year's recipients.

Since 2014, Dong-Eui University has been selecting professors who have demonstrated outstanding research performance and whose indirect research expenses from externally commissioned research funds exceed a certain amount, awarding them certificates of commendation and the Seokdang Medal. The medal is named 'Seokdang Medal' in honor of the late Dr. Kim In-sik, the founder of Dong-Eui Academy.


Additionally, since 2019, to enhance the pride of industry-academic cooperation faculty and to promote continuous development in industry-academic cooperation, the university has been selecting 'Outstanding Industry-Academic Cooperation Faculty' and awarding them certificates of commendation and prize money.
