The Coast Guard dispatched coastal rescue boats and other rescue forces to the scene. At 8:41 a.m., a patrol car from the local police station arrived, instructed the crew to wear life jackets to ensure safety, and assessed the situation. Then, at 8:44 a.m., the coastal rescue boat and a civilian vessel arrived and transported the crew members to Seomang Port.

No marine pollution caused by the accident was detected, and a breathalyzer test conducted on the captain of vessel A showed no blood alcohol concentration.

A Mokpo Coast Guard official stated, “One crew member who sustained injuries to the right arm during the grounding was transported to the 119 emergency medical team. A lift bag was installed on the grounded vessel to prevent secondary accidents such as capsizing, and safety management around the accident site is being carried out.”

Meanwhile, considering the tidal conditions and other factors at the site, the grounded vessel is expected to refloat under its own power.
