Woomi Construction announced on the 17th that it was selected as the contractor for the redevelopment and maintenance project of Toegyewon 2 District in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province on the 14th.

The Toegyewon 2 District redevelopment project awarded to Woomi Construction involves constructing 405 apartment units in four buildings ranging from two basement floors to 27 above-ground floors on a 19,383㎡ site located at 109-8 Toegyewon-eup, Namyangju-si. The contract amount is approximately 95.9 billion KRW, with construction scheduled to begin in February 2025.
In the final bidding, Woomi Construction competed against Doosan Construction, but Woomi Construction ultimately succeeded in securing the contract. Woomi Construction proposed ‘Woomirin The One,’ applying specialized designs to the side walls and rooftop, and announced plans to install shining walls on the exterior.
Toegyewon 2 District is close to Toegyewon Station on the Gyeongchun Line and has excellent educational environments with Toegyewon elementary, middle, and high schools nearby. It provides access to the Byeollae, Galmae, and Dasan living zones, and with the future development of the Wangsuk District, the living infrastructure is expected to improve.
A Woomi Construction official said, “We thank the landowners who trusted and selected Woomi Construction,” adding, “We will promptly advance the project together with the Maintenance Project Committee and Korea Land Trust, and repay by making ‘Woomirin The One’ a regional landmark.”
