Daegu Dong-gu Office Hosts 'Palgong Employment Festival'... On-site Interviews with 25 Small and Medium Enterprises

Daegu Dong-gu Office (Mayor Yoon Seok-jun) will hold the ‘2023 Palgong Employment Fair’ on the 20th at the 4th-floor exhibition hall of the Daegu Gyeongbuk Design Promotion Agency to support employment for young and middle-aged people in Dong-gu.


The ‘Palgong Employment Fair’ is part of the ‘Youth and Middle-aged JOP Pairing Project,’ one of the pledges of the 8th local government administration, aimed at resolving job mismatches and increasing employment rates through customized employment support services.

Hosted by Daegu Dong-gu Office and organized by the Dong-gu Job Support Center, the event is conducted in collaboration with the Daegu Eastern Employment Welfare+ Center, Daegu Gyeongbuk Employment Welfare Research Institute, and Daegu-Gyeongbuk Advanced and Venture Business Association.


This event provides an opportunity for local employers and job seekers in Daegu Dong-gu to meet directly. Twenty-five recruiting companies, including 3H, Vision Science, and Coupang Fulfillment Service, will participate and hire necessary personnel through on-site interviews.


Side events are also prepared, offering various programs such as personal color diagnosis and resume photo shoots, along with job counseling, public institution recruitment consultations, and legal counseling by lawyers.


Any job seeker wishing to find employment can participate, and detailed information about recruiting companies, job categories, working conditions, and qualification requirements can be found on the Dong-gu Office website.


Yoon Seok-jun, Mayor of Daegu Dong-gu Office, said, “I hope that the stagnant local job market will regain vitality through this event, and we will continue to do our best to discover quality jobs and provide customized employment support.”


Last year, 24 companies participated and about 500 people attended the event, with 150 participating in interviews, successfully concluding the event. Linked with small-scale job matching days and customized employment counseling education, 123 people succeeded in finding jobs.
