Have you seen the ‘Flower Bridge Path’ decorated with flower hangings?
The Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center (Director Shin Taeman) is creating a beautiful urban environment by installing flower hangings with autumn flowers on the fences of major city bridges.
The bridges with flower hangings installed include seven bridges?Sinsamho Bridge, Beonyeong Bridge, Hakseong Bridge, Myeongchon Bridge, Dongcheon Bridge, Oesol Bridge, and Samil Bridge?covering a 4.8 km section.
Along the bridge fences, 60,000 wave petunias, an autumn flower, have been planted. Wave petunias bloom pink flowers and grow in a long, trailing shape.
They carry the flower language meaning, “My heart feels much more at ease when I am with you.” They offer beautiful autumn sentiments to citizens crossing the bridges.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “We hope to add autumn colors and scents to the bridges to provide Ulsan citizens with an emotional resting place.”
