Violinist Kim Bomso-ri will perform Nielsen's Violin Concerto with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich from Switzerland at the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center on the 13th.

The conductor is Paavo J?rvi, the Tonhalle Orchestra's chief conductor and music director, who has garnered worldwide attention by sweeping top music awards such as the Grammy Awards, Gramophone Awards, and Diapason d'Or. J?rvi has been leading the Tonhalle Orchestra as chief conductor and music director since the 2019?2020 season. Just before officially taking the position, in November 2018, he visited Korea with the Tonhalle Orchestra and performed Mahler's Symphony No. 5.

J?rvi is originally from Estonia and is the founder and artistic director of the Estonian Festival Orchestra.
He boasts a brilliant list of awards. In 2003, he won a Grammy Award for the Sibelius Cantata, and in 2015, he received the Artist of the Year awards from both Gramophone (UK) and Diapason (France). In the same year, he was awarded the Sibelius Medal, and in 2019, he was named 'Conductor of the Year' by Opus Klassik. Last year, he received the European Cultural Award.
Kim Bomso-ri stood out in several competitions, including winning second place without a first prize in the violin category at the 62nd ARD International Music Competition in 2013, and placing in the Tchaikovsky Competition and Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2015. In 2021, she became the first Korean female violinist to sign an exclusive contract with the world-renowned classical record label Deutsche Grammophon (DG). In August, she released a digital album of Nielsen's Violin Concerto, which she will perform on this stage.
